ChainFaces stores each face as a text string in contract storage (SSTORE) at mint, with its colors and traits, readable via getFace() and companion getters. The contract has no renderer: tokenURI() points at an off-chain web function run by the creator, so any picture of a ChainFace is produced off chain.
